About FC Tavriya

Tavriya FC is an Ukrainian football club from Simferopol (Crimea). Founded in 1958, our club used to participate in Ukrainian Premier League from the moment of its establishment.

In 1992 Tavriya FC has won the first Championship of independent Ukraine and up to today remains one of only three teams ever won this title. Tavriya first among Ukrainian teams became a participant of Champions league, where reached the stage of 1/16 leg.

"Tavriya" (Simferopol) - the first champion of Ukraine

In 2001 and 2008 Tavriya FC took part in UEFA Intertoto Cup, where played with famous PSG and Fc Rennes (2001 and 2008 respectively).

In 2010 Tavriya FC won Ukrainian Cup and became one of the most titled football clubs in Ukraine. In UEFA Europe League next season our team met with German leading FC Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

After the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014, Tavriya ceased to exist. In June 2015 Football Federation of Ukraine has announced that the club will be reestablished on continental part of Ukraine – in Kherson, which is biggest closest city to the annexed Crimea. On 29 August 2016 FC Tavriya Simferopol was revived in Bersilav, Kherson oblast (one of the most attractive regions for investments) and was declared in Amateur Championship. In November 2016 the club has passed attestation procedure of Football Federation of Ukraine and has got professional status. Starting from 2017 Tavriya FC plays in 2nd National League (3rd ranked division) and targets to return in the elite of Ukrainian Football and European Cups.
